2009 GSX-r 1000

I have never been a fan of Gsx-r's. Or any Suzuki for that matter. But in my opinion the new gixxer might be the ugliest sport bike I have ever seen.
I definitely hate the wheels, and absolutely don't those pipes at all. But it seems like there is something else about it that I cant put my finger on.

What do you guys think? Am I totally wrong?

I think it's the mirrors with the integrated turn signals. You think the side view is bad, you should see them from the front.

If I imagine it without the HUGE SILLY fairing up front, I don't throw up in my mouth.

It could be the mirrors but the more I stare at it the more I think it is the front fairing. Its the way the underbelly looks so skinny, then it looks so fat in the middle, then skinny again up by the windscreen, combined with the falcon beak in the front. The bike just does not flow. I think Suzuki really dropped the ball...

I was gonna say something smart-mouthed, like "of course you're just wrong" but then I took a peek at the pics and *cough* *gasp* *puke*...not liking it at all.

I agree, it's the exhaust that pushes it over the edge. Most of the bike is ugly, but the exhaust are ridiculous looking.
At the motorcycle show, the Suzuki display is the only area that made us stop and laugh. Their dirt bikes are pretty nice, but their newer street bikes always make me point and laugh.

Man, Suzuki must still be paying the guy who did the B-kings exhaust, and they switched him to the GSXR

The exhaust appears to be the fugly part. What if it was replaced with a GP exhaust?

I agree, the mufflers are ridiculous. But I think the thing that throws the whole bike off is that large silver swoop between the tank and frame, extending into the fairing. Plus the wheels should be black, not that grey color.

The only problem I see is the exhaust.

Throw on a GP exhaust and get a race bodywork and you have an awesome racebike.

Removing the passenger pegs, mud flap, and exhaust it's not too bad.. Jardine GP-1 with the dual pipes is pretty sweet looking.

What is up with nearly all the new bikes going to that ugly style exhaust canister? Does it have something to do with new emissions requirements or just an atrocious new trend?

If there's anything good I can say about the bike is that it's not slathered with stickers. I hate stickers.

Not feeling the new 1000 or the Gladius. It seems like that just don't care about their looks anymore. The exhaust is like a sore thumb. It could at least be black.
