Wtb Sw motech crash bars for the 919

So after seeing what Motovation frame sliders did on my buddies bike when he went down last weekend. I am looking for a set of crash bars for my bike. Anyone have some to sell? All the Motovation slider did was bend and it did nothing to protect his bike

Re-wreck it without them on there. I'm betting there will be a difference.

Yea, im the guy that went down. I have to say it would have been much worse without the sliders.

Never said there wouldn't be. Just thinking the bars would serve more protection.

It always depends on how/angle the bike goes down, what obstacles the bike hits, and other various factors such as position of various moving parts, bike design, and which bits take the initial hit/bend.

For example, no matter what you do on the 919, the gas tank will most likely get dinged regardless of crash protection unless its a VERY slow/no speed drop. This is just the nature of the design/dimensions of the gas tank sadly.

Garage
When I went down on my SV years ago I hade frame sliders a member of SVRider made they were just like these the went thru the engine mount on a long bolt. Saved the bike I was able to rebuild it for less than a $1000. Without them it would have been totaled. Not a scratch on the engine just needed new forks, tank, bars and such.

They are great highway pegs. I know with the bolt on mine. The nuts are not threaded onto the bolt very much. Always kinda scared me.

Yea, mainly bumps and bruises nothing major. Bike is repairable, just seemed to scratch and mark up most of the left side. Already ordered most of the parts I need. Now I wait for the mailman.
