WTB: Center Stand

I took a look at the thread down the page a bit and I too have only found them for about $215 which seems excessive. I am in need of some kind of stand to change the front tire, forks, and then I need to get to the shock (don't think I need stand do I?) as well as regular chain maintenance.

You could use 2 jack stands and a piece of rebar through the center stand mount points. Then use a hydraulic jack with a piece of 2x4 going across the headers to get the front up. If you can find a Phobman stand, snag it. They were around $90 new when they were being made.

I've had a couple PM's on my center stand. It's basically sold at this point. I'm not going to name who it is so I don't cause any hard feelings between members on here.

no worries, I have been super busy with classes starting back up. I'll wait, I might be getting a phobman stand from another member. Is there a thread with what they look like? I don't understand what they are

I might add that you will be very happy with one of these. Unless you want something attached to the bike for "anywhere" use, Phobmans are the best. Easy to use, and HIGHLY recommended.
