WTB - CB700 Handlebars

Hi All

I'm into my winter tear-down project and looking to replace the handlebars for my 1985 Honda Nighthawk 700 (CB700). TIA

Those can be hard to come by - the Sabre guys always want them as a Honda factory upgrade for their bikes. I managed to hoard a few and have one on my 919 but I am down to just one spare left for two bikes. Sorry.

Best bet is to look for someone parting one out in Craigslist or eBay.

I'd like to see those on the 919 if you could take a few pics. I still have my 700S and didn't even think about swapping the handlebars.

Are they higher/lower/wider? How much of an improvement was it?

They're about the same height, but the pullback isn't as severe and as they are adjustable can be set so my wrists don't explode from being at a weird angle after 20 minutes.

Sorry, I don't have any pics on hand that clearly show the bars on the bike, will try to get some later.

thnx CB700S, I've been checking Craigslist and eBay almost daily... there is actually a set on eBay but are bent about an inch or so. I'm not sure I want to mess around with bending it back.

I may have to consider getting a "ridged" set for the time being and keep looking around.

Do you know of any other handlebars that offer some adjustments like the originals?

The famous Thar Bars, as manufactured by one of our WT users - check search (sorry, no time to dig up links this evening, but should be easily found.)

I keep meaning to send him my spare set for reproduction but as he just moved it's probably best to hold off on that for now.

Great looking bars but a little more than what I'm looking to spend... but who knows my b-day is in the Spring so perhaps I'll treat myself
