WTB: 04-07 Rear Shock for 919

Looking to pick up a stock 04-07 shock for my 919. I haven't had any luck on Ebay yet.

Hey bud I just scored one on Ebay, but it wasn't listed. I looked for a seller that seemed to have a bunch of 919 parts '04-'07 and then I sent him a message asking if he happened to have a rear shock. One guy replied and the shock was still on the bike so now I have an '05 shock coming my way. You might want to try that too. Good luck

Good deal, Detale. I'll give it a shot. Hopefully one of our fellow WT members will splurge on an Ohlins and sell me their stocker!

Still looking for the 04+ shock. I'm genuinely surprised nothing has come up on Ebay. I considered an F3 shock recently. They're readily available on Ebay. Getting it revalved and sprung would probably go for about $300, plus the cost of the shock itself. Or I could get an 04+ stock 919 shock and swap out springs with my 03 and potentially get a similar product. A reworked F3 shock for $350ish vs $50ish for a resprung 04+ shock, that is the question.

Spending money on any OEM rear shock is a complete waste. OEM suspension is shit and somebody else's 19 year old OEM suspension they don't want any more is even worse.

$350 is almost 40% of the cost of a new Ohlins shock. Save the money and buy the real deal or just make due with what you have as you will never be happy with spending $350 on trying to make an OEM shock work properly.
