Ohlins Permanent DIBS!

With this post I permanently and undeniably call dibs on any Ohlins shock that, in the foreseeable future, is posted to WT. Furthermore, any rear shock that is posted, I call tentative dibs until specifications and pricing have been reviewed. Thank you. Carry on.

I'm jealous af! Honestly I don't even care if it's ohlins, I just need something that doesn't make me fly off the damn seat

If I wasn't saving up for a wedding I'd buy ohlins in a heartbeat. Heli is gettin ready to sell his progressive once he gets ohlins so hopefully he'll give those up.

I wish I was too. I'd still be there, but I hit a small bump in a corner at 70mph and saw my life flash before my eyes. Literally came about 6in off the seat and pegs. Never wanna do that again.

#1 im glad your still alive 580! Ive been lucky to not lose someone I know that way.

#2 ive hit bumps in a similar situation, ive never flown off the seat I couldn't imagine the pucker factor on that one. Plus no better reasoning to buy an Ohlins than sparing your life!

That's the exact reason I'm giving my wife why I need it. Lol as soon as I said that she agreed.

I was very much like this for awhile. Then signed up for a track day with a group here in WT and that pretty much forced me to build the suspension. The Hagon shock wasn't bad at all and was my first upgrade alongside F4i forks with racetech springs. The Penske on there now however feels like it's on rails and very well behaved. Confidence inspiring type stuff

If you can get used to riding fast with the stock however, upgrading makes you that much more confident because the bike is like night and day. Don't blame if your wallet takes a hit please

Its funny you say that. That's my biggest hurdle right now is confidence in the road... Maybe grounds for 2nd dibs? Haha

Little tough in SoCal because of ND4 troll and the sun but if you can practice riding in the rain, get to become comfortable even around traffic (although I wouldn't attempt that around LA lol).. once the road clears up of the rain you'll be flying like a bat out of hell with all the perceived gains in traction.

Just be careful for the first hour of rain when it hasn't rained in a while, that's when all the oils come up from the pavement.

Im very confident when it comes to commute riding like that, in the sense I wont let my gaurd down but keep relaxed and watch whats going on.
But technical & cornering at times I think too much of what could happen and my performance will suffer. Then there's other times where I can lead the pack because my confidence is through the roof mainly because the road feels good.

I guess when I break it down im my own biggest block.

I'm still mad at you for posting that Ohlins that was $700. That was supposed to be my own little secret, but you posted for the whole community to see!

It does. I trade you all my stock parts and a lifetime supply of high-fives for one? Seems like a good deal!
