New rider looking for touring goodies

Just picked up a '04 CB900f to replace my VT750, couldnt be happier and very excited to start customizing it for my current hour long commute and planned weekend trips. Looking for good deals on luggage/racks possibly engine guards, could go for a better seat or even a windshield though that might spoil some of the clean lines.

If you have any goodies kicking around let me know! I would also ride to pick up anything within a few hours of Charlotte NC!

Welcome to the asylum!

. . . . . but why would anybody in their right mind try to rig a 919 for touring and commuting?

Motovation frame sliders for engine guards, or go full out and get the SW Motech engine guard or Givi's (which I don't think are made anymore).

Who in their right mind? Exactly, I think I will fit in well here!

A pair of frame sliders were already installed but they seem short and are attached at the engine which I hear is a big no-no, I'm moving towards the full Sw Motech engine guard.

C'mon people dont make me buy new!

Twistedthrottle carries them and I would recommend the SW motech guards over the givi. Hopefully they still have some in stock, otherwise you're stuck with Motovation sliders. I've had good success with a Givi hard luggage rack on the back and givi side luggage carriers. Would not recommend the Sw-motech rack for the 919 because it only mounts to the bolts by the tail handrail and I've seen it crack the mounting point on the frame for another member here in NYC.
