***FOUND*** MC22 -- I don't expect to find one here!

Yeah, I'm after a rarity in the u.s. I'm not sure why I can't shake it. I've considered a vtr250 (actually imported for 3 years) or even a bigger/newer/faster/better bike...but something about the cbr250rr (probably the 20k rev) gives me goosebumps.

Here's what I do know. There is most likely less than 10 in the U.S. No idea how many are in mexico, and a small handful in canada. I'm primarily looking in southern Ontario as I have a "buyers agent" there. I have one in northern MX as well, but I have yet to find mention of a 250RR there.

I have a friend in both of the primary markets for the 250RR, japan and australia, but the cost of shipping is damn expensive. These bikes are basically antiques at this point (I believe 1996 was the last year they were made) so finding a specimen worthy of the effort is proving to be a nightmare!

This may have to wait for next year, but that would be doing me a favor, as 1990 models will be exempt from NHTSA and EPA testing!

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

That is a rare machine .... especially on our side of the pond.

When I lived in Vancouver, BC there was a small motorcycle shop that imported all kinds of 400cc and lower JDM bikes. Its a long shot but ... let me see if I can dig up a link for you.

Here you go .....

Windbell Motorcycle Home

"Windbell Motorcycle imports used Japanese motorcycles from Japan to Canada. It must be 15years or older, but there are lots of great motorcycles still available in Japan. Please fell free to drop in and see what kind of motorcycles are available at our new location 1424 Crown Street North Vancouver BC V7J1G5."

Here is another guy in Vancouver .... he has had a few MC22's and other cool JDM models.

Hmmm, there's a 94 available! I have a buddy 90 minutes (imperial, not metric) from Toronto that's headed to a common place in May. $4400CAD is more than I was anticipating to spend, let's hope there's wiggle room.
