you should post a full on "flat" right side and "flat" full left side of the bike.
it shows it off better.
nice 919. GLWS.

FYI - the single sided exhaust really compliments the 919.

You'll probably have better luck swapping out some of the trick bits and selling them separately, but you may get lucky and find someone willing to pay for the upgrades. Good luck!

Thanks. I would have to purchase new OEM parts and spend time wrenching, which is at a premium due to work and toddlers at home.

Putting down a deposit on the CB1000R?

Hahahahahha. I wish. I want to get into an FJR1300. Or BMW K1200. Just ready for something that is a true sport tourer. I have a 50 mile RT commute and my spirited rides are pretty much non existent.

That said, you buyin?

You don't have to buy the OEM parts if you take a trade. Example: if the used value of the shock is $500 then you sell it for $450+ your old shock. Same with the seat, and you require they send theirs first and give pics in advance.

The buyer isn't likely to want their old stock seat vs yours and both sides get a better deal.

BTW, the bike looks awesome.

I understand, IDK how stuck you are on the price, there's clearly a lot of awesome things on that bike, looks like you pretty much went all in. Not all the people in the market are willing to spend that much. If you aren't finding the buyers you want, just remember, there's a LOT of people here that will jump all over those choice parts and you could put a quick 1~2K in your pocket, then drop the price by the same and get what you want/need out of the bike.

Sometimes it's good to know you have some options.

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, this place is responsible for a lot of the purchases. I am not too stuck on the price, willing to go down a little bit. I listed it in the fall through winter in IL. Spring will bring more activity. If I sell it, great. If not, it will still get used, just not nearly as much as summers past. All in all, I have $7-8k invested in her, purchase price included. If itís still in my garage next year, I may consider piecing it out. I know the shock and seat could fetch good money.

Wow Bart, that's a good looking 919. And worth $5200. It's easy to get a lot of money tied up in a 919, isn't it? Unfortunately, most people aren't going to appreciate the value of what you have. You're going to miss it when it's gone. Nothing beats having a hard time deciding which bike you're going to ride.

Hahahahha. I know. I will miss it. The funds will be repurposed for either an FJR1300 for longer rides and my long commute to work or a 1998-2001 Mercedes SL500. Still canít decide and it will be a game time decision. The Benz would be way more practical over the next few years and I can always rent a bike when I get the itch. A 3 year old and 1.75 year old donít fit on a bike. But they do make a kinderseat for the SL.

Very Miami Vice.

Unfortunately my next 4-wheeled vehicle is probably going to be a minivan. I might be able to get one in white with cream leather though.

Ewmin3m I think it's called gunmetal metallic black. I found a very close match in a rattle can. VHT SP405 Black pearl. I've used it all over my bike. Fenders, rims. I spray a satin clear over it.

Bike is still available. Has not sold yet and I am sure the original link expired. Just hop on the Chicago craigslist page and search Honda 919. It will pop up. Here is the latest link, not sure how long it will stay active. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/m...505602127.html

Nice build. Thatís a great price for what it would cost someone to replicate.

I was looking at the rental med bars and risers. How much of an improvement did those make in comfort? And change in feel? I have a 2 hr commute and looking for a little more upright position.

With the stock seat it makes a big difference. With the Corbin, the risers are cancelled out because the Corbin sits about an inch higher. The Mediums are about stock height, just a bit wider and the grip angle is better.
