For Sale 2006 919 - $4800

This 2006 Honda 919, is tastefully modified and in excellent condition. This bike has a considerable amount attention in the area of performance as well as looks. It has an up-right but slightly forward riding position that is comfortable enough to be ridden all day. Although the bike is not as blindingly fast as many of the current super sport motorcycles, it runs very good and especially when compared to similar models of its era, or other 919ís. In addition to the visible modifications, it has had some conservative work done internally such as: ported and polished cylinder head, mild intake and exhaust cams, and work to the throttle bodies. A detailed sheet is available if interested. Below are most of the add on components that come with the bike.
 Carbon Fiber Yoshimura exhaust canisters, with cat removed from the Y pipe.
 Power Commander 3 with quick shifter, and rev extender.
 Dyno tuned at Commonwealth Motorcycles in Louisville KY.
 520 Chain conversion with 5 different gearing combinations
 Shorai ultra lite battery
 Rizoma: mirrors, LED turn signals, and quick adjust clutch and brake levers
 Case protectors
 Renthal aluminum handle bars.
 Stainless steel brake lines front and back
 Rear fender removal bracket
Note: the bike currently has 15,700 miles on it but I will continue to ride it until sold. Also, cash in hand test rides only. Feel free to contact me with questions at [email protected]. Or you may PM me on messenger.

Mark, if you still have that thing in a few months, I'll come down and take a look.

Would love to see some pics, not just the general bike pics, but the work you did to the head. I remember reading a thread about someone doing head/cam work to the 919, maybe that was you. I think it ended up some 10 more HP or something along those lines?

Also, the gear choices you picked, what combo for street riding did you find best. I just did the 17/44 520 combo and can notice the loss of torque and smoother throttle in the mid range. I was thinking about trying different combos by swapping out the front sprocket for a 15 or 16.

KarlJay,

Yes, this is the same bike. On the gearing question, for me it depends on what kind of ring I do. I will run 16-42 if I want the all out best performance. But then I will run 17-42 on just normal commuting days. If I plan to take a trip, I have an 18-42 for that. I also find the stock gearing to be fine and and have had as high as 48MPG using it. I really need my head examined for selling the bike. It fits so many different roles for me, and I have really enjoyed the engineering journey on this project. Let me see if I can grab you a picture of the porting.

pretty full mod package right there. GLWS

even 5g would've been good for a fully refined 9er, with all the bits and bobs done to it :-D
