WTB: Stock Exhaust Cans, Fuel Tank, Etc

New member here; I just bought a 2002 919 and unfortunately the previous owner performed a bafflectomy on it. Not real happy with the results; does anyone have a set of intact stock cans they'd like to sell or trade me? PM or post up what you have.

Also looking to buy an 02 'Asphalt' fuel tank and rear fairing.

Do you know if the stock '06 cans will fit? I have those and the heat shields just taking up space in my garage.

I think they'll work, they just won't be stainless like the 02's. IIRC, as part of the changes, the cans are actually just black with the stainless heat shields over them, right? That's actually more appealing to me, visually.

What do you want for them?

All 919's had the exact same exhaust as far as I know

I wouldn't know, being new, but the part numbers between the 02 and 06 is different (but only for the actual cans, not the shields or gaskets) and there have been some black non-stainless ones (from salvaged bikes and bearing the Honda stamp) on eBay from time to time. Mostly they're beat to hell and want too much for a single can - I just bought the bike and funds are a bit tight at the moment, etc. I don't know but I'm willing to take a shot!

I'll have to take a look at them, but I think they are like you described (I haven't looked at them since I put them on the shelf ). How does 78.99 + shipping grab you? That's how much it'll be for some frame sliders I've been eyeing

Do you want pics? I'll grab some when I get home from work this afternoon. Also, let me know if you want all of the extra heat shield stuff (I think I have some for the pipes too).

I had a set from 2002, and a set from 2005 and they were the same... Stainless ones would look cooler than stock for sure!

I'm fairly certain they're all stainless steel(the heat shields). They aren't coated or painted and they niether rust nor oxidize. The black ones on ebay are painted or powder coated or possibly from another market (not U.S.)

These are (unfortunately) what are on mine.

I'm still wondering why the difference in part numbers, like everyone else.

Edit: Looks like it changes several times over the US run.

2002-2003:
Right can - 18310-MCZ-641
Left can - 18410-MCZ-641

2004-2005:
Right can - 18310-MCZ-D11
Left can - 18410-MCZ-D11

2006-2007:
Right can - 18310-MCZ-D12
Left can - 18410-MCZ-D12

Was there an emissions change, or did the bike get a small power bump or drop, maybe? They look like they'd work (in terms of all the mounting hardware.) The logic of Honda's parts system seems to indicate that they'd at least fit (I've had Hondas for years though I am new to 919s) though it's not the usual supplier change or design change event as they normally just supercede all such changes to the latest design; this doesn't appear to have any sort of supercession.

I wonder if they were changing the design to try to eliminate the 'exhaust stink' I've read about here. Maybe there are changes at the baffle?

I just posted a set of stock cans. In excellent condition as I removed them for installing a new Leo Vince carbon fibre slip-on system. Asking $125 plus shipping but willing to negotiate. PM me if interested

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind if these 06s don't work out for whatever reason.

Asraiil's pipes arrived quickly, were well packed and worked just fine. I still have no idea what the actual differences are.

Still looking for the other stuff, though.
