WTB: stock 919 rear fender (not a misprint!)

That's right, I'm actually LOOKING FOR a stock rear fender for my 919, while most people are looking for fender eliminator kits! I had one of those and didn't like it because too much rain and dirt flew onto my tail section so I replaced my stock fender and sold the eliminator kit. That was on my last 919.

On my newest 919, I decided to be a hero and cut off that unsightly lower fender reflector thing that hangs down so low and looks like sh*t, only to discover it was there for a reason! Who woulda thunk?

Apparently, that extra few inches of fender was just enough to stop splashing up onto the tail section! Since the day I cut it off, whenever I ride on wet roads, I get tons of muddy water splashed up onto my tail light and even my seat! The new rain tires don't help matters much since they have a groove that goes side to side, which pick up water. But my problem didn't start until I cut off that lower piece!

SO, if anyone has an extra OEM rear fender for a 919 that still has that lower tab on it (don't need the lower reflector or side ones, just the plastic main unit) I would be interested in purchasing it from you if the price is fair.

I can paypal you the payment, or just send it via snail mail. Just let me know how much and what it will cost to ship. If you live in Western Washington (by some odd coincidence) maybe I can meet you somewhere.

Thanks.

BIG MISTAKE I MADE:

All kidding aside, I hear you Shawn. Lot of wet down here to deal with also.

I have my fender that I cut off if you want it. It's not complete, but the bottom portion is there.
You could make an extension from it to graft on or something.

I looked up a replacement fender on bikebandit before cutting mine. Don't qoute me, but if I remember right I think it was around $30.

If this is what you're looking for, it's for sale as I have no need for it...

the part you're holding is the part you do NOT want to cut off!!! Just a little tidbit of info for other 919 owners who have a stock rear fender!
