WTB: Stock 919 flyscreen

Looking for a smoke colored stock flyscreen with hardware and such. It looks like they were discontinued, then recontinued, then discontinued again.

Send a pic and a reasonable price incl shipping and I'm all over it. I dont think it matters much, but I'm on a 2002 919, zipcode 07470.

I don't have a smoke one, but I have one for sale that the inside is painted black (it was the rose color originally)

Haha. Thanks! She is the best dog I've ever owned. Her son on the other hand is a handful. But very loving as well.

We have a male and female, best dogs I've ever owed. Daughter has a son from my male and another female, I SWEAR he's on crack. Super protective of her but he's such a spaz!

My female standing guard over the grand baby.

Don't mean to hi-jack the threat. I hope the flyscreen looks good and the deal goes through for you!

My female, Roxi, and male, Mater (g00gl3it actually helped in the delivery of him, he was so big he got stuck). He is her son in a litter of 9 (her only litter).

Well since we are talking dogs now. Here is my German sheppard, smartest dog i have ever owned. She is highly protective of my property and family, but very gentle and kind. Shes close to 90lbs now.

I have the stock screen ill part with as well including hardware for $50. I have it covered in black vinyl now but this is after I used terpentine to take off the black spray paint the previous owner used on the outside.

I'll snap pics later.

Back to the derail. The most loving obedient dogs I've known are boxers. Not always the brightest, but I wouldn't call them dumb.

On the flip side, some of the craziest bigger breed I've met too.

But I can't complain, my rat terrier is a hellava dog as well, just a bit cranky somedays :-)

I may not have a lot to say but it doesn't mean I don't listen.

Beautiful dogs, and beautiful boxers! I have a boxer (family dog) at my folks place, he's 120 lbs! He's getting a little bit on the fat side now but he was solid muscle at 110 lbs. Insanely big for a boxer and to make matters worse, he thinks he's a lap dog...

I love boxers that I wouldn't mind getting one for my wife and I, but we haven't (or any dogs yet) because vet bills are expensive and boxers are known to have poor health/serious medical issues in their later years. My boxer sure does

I don't know if this is further threadjacking or bringing it back in, but whatever.

Did you do anything special to treat it before painting? I've thought about going black on mine (because I'm Super-Original Guy!!) but wasn't sure if paint would hold up well on it. I see vinyl is an option too...

I bought my screen new for my first 919 in 2007 and rattle canned the inside of it flat black to make it look gloss black on the front. The only real prep I did was clean it and spray on an adhesion promoter before the paint, and I taped the edges obviously. These pics are a few years old now but the screen is still in as perfect shape now as it was when I did it, been through plenty of rain and my bike is stored outside (under a cover)

^^ pretty much the same, but I just cleaned and sprayed. The only thing that the paint DIDN'T take on well was those brackets, but I think they still had some oil on them that I didn't account for.

Wow, that looks even better than I thought, and sounds easy. I have those same grips Cycle Gear?

Thanks for the tips!

You got lucky on this one! These are hard to come by. I posted a WTB several months back for one and got nothing. I did end up with a Carbon Fiber Replica and mounted it using Buell M2 mounts. I am pleased.

There are bold motorcyclists and old motorcyclists, but (OK) there are few old bold motorcyclists

They were very similar to These, but I got them at Cycle Gear. I've since replaced them with several others including stock and currently have mini bulb arrow style.
