WTB Low-mileage 919 in CA

My beloved green mantis is totaled, thanks to being rear-ended at a stoplight by an inattentive driver. I have the option to buy her back as a salvage title and fix her up, but thought I'd see if there are any CA wristtwisters with a 919 for sale.

Let me know--green favored, of course, but I'm open!

Not quite yet--I've being getting acupuncture and started chiropractic work. Still headaches, back/neck pain, but the dizziness and cognitive disruption is abating.

The VFR is a '98...but it was left to me by my dad when he passed away a couple of years ago, so I don't use it for riding around town. Great bike, though--smooth, good suspension for the budget, power's fine, surprisingly nimble given its bulk, great engine, and reliable. Not so hot for 2-up riding, though, and heavy.

I'm planning on riding a 919 across the country next year. I've ridden as far as Montana and back on the VFR, and even with Helibars, the position is too much crouch for me--the upright naked posture is perfect for long distances.

Wish we were closer, Ripper, I'd be able to help you out! Good luck getting back on your feet as a family.

Hey Nemo, Kolbe Honda in Woodland Hills has a bunch of '07 919 still in the crates. 7K is what they're asking for them. 818-348-7865 ext. 11

Good tip! Probably too much for my budget, but thanks much. New 919s are tough to find.

Hey Nemo
Thanks for the info about the crouch, I assumed the position was similar, No good for me most likely (bad back) to many wipeouts ! Take care.

How about this one:

Ernie put it up for sale today. It's well maintained and low miles.

Take care and heal up

It's just as pristine as the picture.

You might want to loose the bars though.
Test ride it first.
