WTB: Laptop computer

Nothing too fancy, something to surf the net and emails. It should have built-in wireless capabilities.

If you're looking for new. I'd say go to Sam's or Costco and pick up an HP. You get a great deal for the buck. No need to spend more than 500-600 for an excellent system. If you need any of the Microsoft stuff let me know. Or, other programs.

MisterMike, how much are you looking to spend? Are you willing to buy Pre-Owned? Ragster might be able to look for coupons or Rebates. Now, if you are dead set on Brand & Model, I suggest the following sites.

www.slickdeals.net

www.hardforum.com Go towards the bottom and check out HotDeals and ForSale/Trade

www.pricegrabber.com Nice for price comparisons between Online sites with same Brand & MoOdels.

If you are patient, you can save a lot of money

www.woot.com is also a good site but they only have 1 deal per day. Here's where I bought my Samsung Front loader washer & dryer.

P.S.: Don't trust any software coming from the Asian-Man-Gina, that is probably a bad Chinese Knock-Off!!!

Pre-owned is fine as long as I know the background. Thanks for the links.

Mike I have one you can have it will need the hard drive debugged. It has some virus I can't get rid of. I'm sure if you drop it off at computer store they can get it up and running.

Thanks for the offer. We can talk about it tomorrow. Are you riding early or coming to the dairy later.

I always approach buying decisions like this from a features and benefits perspective rather than price alone. You should always educate yourself before spending your hard earned $$$.

Start here:

http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops.html?tag=glnav

Read the "Laptop Buying Guide" and check out the "Editors' top laptops".

All my software is GRADE A-1. No knock-offs there. I purchase all of my stuff, but have a tendency to share. So, I'm not perfect.

Mike, I am no computer expert but, before you go pay one of the Geek Squad pimple face dudes, I am willing to take a stab at it, reformat the drive and ship it to you clean as a whistle... I don't think shipping would be more than what the Geek Squad will charge you for it.

Tigerdirect and Newegg are great sites... if all you want to do is get online... shouldn't cost more than a used set of forks...

Refurbs at times can be better than new. They are fully inspected and given a more thorough run through than new.

I scored a Asus F3JP notebook from a friend. Never heard of this brand until now. It is less than 6 months old and hardly used. It has more bells and whistles then we could ever use but could not pass up this deal. The graphics and HD screen resolution are awesome. MS Office 2007 is a big plus.

How many GiggleFlippers does it have loaded in the PreOp SS? I hope it's more than 2.
