wtb 919 headlight

I am looking for a 919 headlight (no bucket). I am going to try to put a small HID projector in it.

its not here we go again. I am not putting an HID bulb in the housing I am actually putting (or going to try) a HID projector inside the 919 housing. So with all of your wisdom how is that "here we go again". Actually I really don't care what you think its not your bike.

I'm going the 599 route, so I will have an extra headlight on hand. I'm low on funds now so I will have to wait awhile to upgrade. How soon are you wanting to do this? Would you be interested in swapping the headlight for one of your tailights?

I have one. I have to test out my duals to see if they work in riding conditions first. Make me an offer!

good luck snowy! have you thought of maybe trying to do the HID in the 599 headlight? might have better luck than the 919 light.

I am trying the 919 headlight first and if it doesnt work I will look for other options. I am short on funds so even though i want to do it cheap I want to do it right or its going to look and work like shit.

I bet its going to be tight, the bixenon projectors I have seen are all over 5" when assembled.

So far I have the projector in the housing and in the bucket. Still have to put the bulb in and the plug onto the bulb. If it fits it will be very tight or I might need to put a hole in the back of the bucket and find a rubber gromet to seal the back. Here are some pics (no bulb in it) just the projector.

right, and if you read the full threadm you'll see that she purchased a 919 headlight already, hence the projector fitting and the photos present.
