WTB 2003 919 Rear Fender

Looking to get a stock rear fender.

I have a fender eliminator with turn signals but they are not very bright. So I had the idea of getting a stock fender and cutting it down.

Any ideas would be a great help.

i have a stock fender already cut down and ready to go. just throw on some signals, license plate, and you're ready to go. $20+shipping.

another option is to grab the comp werks fender thats for sale in the cb919 pcIII for sale thread, and pick up some signals.

best option is to pick up the CUSTOMLED integrated unit. it's VERY brought and everyone who bought one freaking loves them, myself included!

a good option for signals is a set of rizomas. dont use those cheap ebay crap. you get what you pay for.

Thanks, I looked at the CustomLED unit before but thought it was expensive. Noticed they are now on sale for $125, so I will go that route.

I agree. I had those ebay led blinkers, they suck. My father would tell me when he rides behind me, he could barely see them even when close. Now that i have the custom led unit AND Rizoma's, he says he always see's whats goin on. What a difference

I have the very same setup and YES, they work wonders. When I turn my bike on in my garage, the LED light flashes and you can see it in the ENTIRE garage. Super bright.

I now have 2 questions about the CustomLED light.

1.I do not have the OEM blinkers so I assume the OEM blinker connections will be required
2. Is the Blaster X control switch necessary?

I realize the cost for these items are negligible, but I don't want to spend the money if they are not needed. I also don't want to get the lights then find out I do need them.

I guess this thread should now be moved to Mechanical/Technical section.

I don't believe the control switch is required, that's just to program it (which you can do by just grounding one of the wires temporarily, I just left it how it came programmed stock and it's been fine).

And you just need your blinker wire leads from the tail, you don't need the original blinkers. I just opted to leave my blinkers installed as well as using the integrated light for additional visibility.
