WTB: 04+ Rear Shock & 04+/F4i forks

Looking to upgrade the rear shock on my '03 9er to an 04+. Also looking to upgrade the forks with either an 04+ model, or F4i. OR 02-03 with racetech springs @ 200-220lbs / 10w oil.

Would consider spending the extra $ on Ohlins or Penske rear.

TONS of f4I forks on e-bay right now. Have been seeing them for around $200. Figure a set of Race-Tech springs for around $100. And you're in business for $300.

Have yet to see ANY used newer rear shocks.

There was however a used Penske on E-bay recently....but, the bastid ended at $600 bones. Just $200 shy of a new one.

andrewbay, plenty of f4i forks on ebay as mentioned. you can also look for f4 forks as well, they're exactly the same. i got lucky and picked up a set in awesome condition for 109 shipped to my door.

i see used rear shocks from time to time. got mine for $30.00 shipped. they're out there. just keep an eye on ebay and one will eventually pop up.

Appreciate the response guys. Yea, that Penske I bid onto until $350 then I had to fold.

I've purchased an '07 rear shock for $85 shipped from another member. Suppose to be in good shape, maybe more than what they usually sold for ($30-60) but, I was ready to dish out $350 on one. Hopefully it provides a better ride than my '02 shock.

As for F4i/F4 forks, I had a chance to purchase one on Ebay for $280+ship. An 02 w/ race-techs @ 200lbs. It was freakin prefect fit for me, until I got out-bid at the last 4 secs. CRAP!

just cruising through the classifieds & this thread caught my eye.

There's a pair of f4i forks on my local (about 40 minutes west of me) craigslist for $100.
You might give him a call & see if shipping is an option?

I recently installed a Penske rear shock on my 07 919, so I do have a stock rear shock for sale. Please PM me if you are interested.

I have rebuilt f4i forks with Gold valves/shim stack and RT springs setup for 210lbs rider. I'm thinking about selling them as I'm too far into rc51 swap
They were rebuilt with new seals, bushings and Ohlins oil and have less than 1k miles on them. Sliders were polished for the rebuilt. Also have custom fender as 919 fender won't fit
