**SOLD**Sato exhaust for sale!

No, this is not a joke...

With that said, I have a set of early 2nd gen Sato exhausts for sale. they were in dire need of repacking and suffered from the internal rot on the flared cones so common for the early 2nd gen Satos. They were recently repacked with brand now cores/material less than 1200 miles ago with OEM Sato parts.

Let me tell you, these Satos are music! I am selling them because my Erions are not selling and I need to sell one pair of exhausts.

These Satos are rated at ~6/10 cosmetically. They have a few dings and would benefit from polishing or powdercoating (this was my goal). I got most of the dings out but there are a few that still remain. They are 100% solid and should last you a long time.

They come with the old original cores, a new pair of flared cones (for if you wanted to repair the old cores for a back-up or to sell) and extra rivets. They also come with a brand new pair of exhaust heat shields that I managed to track down but haven't gotten around to installing yet.

$550 shipped to your door! They have a fair bit of work put into them and are worth every penny! Good luck finding another pair for sale

If you prefer the Erions, they are currently going for $300 + shipping.

if you read the description you'll notice that it was stated they could use polishing and/or powder coating. had to sand some areas to find the dings and try to get them out, went ahead and sanded down the whole thing for a swirl type look to blend everything in until i got around to powder coating it.

i honestly couldn't answer that one i love both for different reasons. pretty much whatever sells first that allows me to break even is the one that goes.

What is going on with your rear cowl near the ventura rack? Is that paint chipping or is that some sort of double sided tape/maxi pad?

I suspect the fact that it's not selling has something to do with it being FUBARed with scotch-brite. (just my theory)

and how is it "FUBARed" as you put it? it is purely cosmetic in appearance and sanding was required while working on the dings.

i've clearly said they could benefit from being polished up or even powder coated (as was my original plan). i dont appreciate you depreciating the satos with your opinion. if you have nothing constructive to add, then please refrain from posting in this thread, thanks.

looks like i'll be throwing them onto ebay afterall.

Besides,

1 pvster very accurately described everything

2. It would not be hard to get some ultra fine sandpaper and make those things look mint

Good luck pvster. Im sure someone will be pumped.

I love Satos. That's what I got on my 9er and absolutely love them. I was just saying that maybe $550 is a little too much for this condition, that's all.
How much would it cost to powder coat them? Maybe you should you look into it? I can see you getting very close to what you asking if they look presentable. Just saying

Not taking sides here but, I sold mine about two years ago for $500. I would have rated them a 9 out of 10 in appearance. They were the carbon fiber ones.

But they are getting harder to find, lately. They do demand a premium and they sound oh so sweet!

again, the repack material is literally brand new, and is direct from sato racing (good luck with getting more). along with that comes a brand new set of never used sato heat shields. then there's all the spare parts that comes with it to service the satos for the rest of it's life if anything internally would go wrong (highly doubt it since that's what the new repack kit fixed). so all in all, you're getting more than just a used set of satos and what's great about it is the buyer has the option of going one direction or another in cosmetic appearance without being limited.

if i was to spend more time/money into them, i'd just keep them. as it is, my erions are not selling, nor are the satos. i either have to break even on whichever set sells or take a loss. clearly i cant break even so i'm already set to take a loss. now if someone would just buy either exhaust i could move forward.

HeliMech carbon wrapped his shortened Yoshi... you could wrap them in the same fashion. Not sure if he used anything special for the wrap or glue considering the heat.

Or the seller.... I had a feeling you'd be digging the satos more in sound. Just cuz they're so damn rare, even more so than the Erions.

free bump

For anyone wanting to buy these sato's
Check this video. This guy has sato's and they sound great!

Also, I have wraped my SS Yoshi's with the di-noc cf vinyl and they are not affected by the heat at all. If you can Easily place your hand on the cannister after a ride, this stuff will work just fine. I can put up a picture later if someone wants to see them.
Who am I kidding.... you all want pics.
