***SOLD***AVAILABLE 520 chain & 17/44 sprocket combo $175

DID ERV3 520 Gold Chain with AFAM Sprockets

This set only has about 500 miles on it, I never even broke it in really. Was going to sell it on the bike, but figured it was new enough to transfer to someone else and I'd rather it stay in our family.

I did NOT break this chain. I had the swingarm off and took the chain and sprocket off in one piece. If you don't want to break the chain and buy another master link, then you'll have to reassemble by taking the swingarm off. It's not difficult, just time consuming.

FYI, this is $50 off the price LDH has them for new (not trying to discount his sales here) so it's a good deal. Master link already pressed, I even used a digital caliper to measure the mushrooms and link widths to make sure they weren't too tight.

Still has plenty of lube on it. I'd re-lube it for you, but that might get Pvster a bit too happy.

He's got lube headed your way Google. Lol

Might wanna mention brands and models for those unfamiliar with LDHs setup. Good deal at 200, even better at 175

gonna +1 LHD's setup.... just grabbed a 16/43 setup from him.

The chain alone if i bought it from my buddies shop where i get a discount would have been the same price as chain and sprockets from ldh.... and googles price is that much better!

for ppls knowledge.... 114 or 112 links?

Were you asking?

The inside hub part by the wheel is not, of course, but between the sprocket and rim it is black, on the outside.

Sorry - this is the same setup that LDH sells, or is selling. DID ERV3 520 Gold Chain with AFAM Sprockets, 520 was listed in the thread title ;-).

Purchased from this thread: https://www.wristtwisters.com/forums/...its-23725.html

I'll modify the first post to include that info. Thanks for the heads up.

I have same kit from LDH I'll let go. (used)

I don't think I put 1000 miles on them. I went back to the heavier chain. I'm not worried about weight...I'm worried about strength. The chain was broken to replace them. If anyones interested, I'll mail them to you, see what you think they're worth, and donate the money to the guy who's needing help to stay with his wife that has cancer. Does anyone remember his handle?

Can I ask why you thought the 520 won't hold up? LDH puts them through the paces on the track with more powerful bikes and not a single member has reported problems except one which more than likely was a result of a misaligned rear wheel (shavings on the chain lube).

Nice of you to donate though, here's his thread: https://www.wristtwisters.com/forums/...ime-31111.html

I really don't know if it will hold up any better. It's probably just the size and the mass of the chain looks so much beefier, that it makes me more comfortable.

This stuffs dirty.

Hey guys. I got the chain and sprockets out of the junk house, and they're nasty. How can I clean them up. You know I'm new to street riding. I never knew you had to replace a chain. I just kept it dripping lube.
I'll run these in the classified adds as soon as I clean them up. Please spread the word. I'll send the chain and sprockets...they make a donation. They choose the amount.
On another note...I got my bearings from Boss Bearings yesterday. Thanks again for all the information you guys give.

You can use kerosene or even WD-40 to clean the chain. And a rag.
