***SOLD*** ADAMS ARMS 16" AR UPPER

Anyone interested?

I do not have a set price but this is just sort of a feely here as if it generates interest here I will hold off or cancel putting it on GUNSAMERICA for sale.

This is s 16" upper, A3 flat top config, no carry handle.

1:7 twist for the military style 62gr M855 weight bullets and up

Full gas piston action so it runs clean and cool.

But it does NOT like Wolf 55gr Russian ammo and will not cycle it!

It runs my Winchester USA 55 grainers and the M855 62 grainers as well as my own 55 gr reloads and single loaded Berger 80gr moly VLD's I've fed it.

WT members will get it for cheaper than I will get on GA so stay tuned for when I pull it off and show you the pics for it, Uhmkay?

PS, reason for sale is I wanted and got a longer barrel upper with the same twist rate in order to extend the range of operation above and beyond the 16 inch barrel configuration.

My new one is a PSA A3 upper, 20 inch, 1:7, heavy chrome barrel and chamber.

的 said I never had much use for one.
Never said I didn't know how to use it."

I'm a bit slow right now, but I will provide some nice shots of it soon enough, and a WT selling price.

Couple of pics:

Shows T Marks on Picatinny Rail:

Gas block showing the end of the piston assembly and gas adjust/single shot and breakdown button:

Total upper including my preferred style of flash hider which is the 5.5" version:

This pic shows the gas piston assy partially removed. It's the only part that gets dirty from the spent gasses besides the gas block. The bolt carrier group and upper receiver never see any direct gas contact.

Remember that this set up is most accurate and designed for the heavier NATO Ammo and will not fire the lighter Varmit bullets well with it's fast twist barrel.

Price as pictured here is $545 plus shipping and insurance.

Note: This is not a full length heavy barrel! It is lightened underneath the hand guard and thus a smaller, lighter in weight diameter. This is a stock Adams Arms G4 16 inch upper with the exception of the longer length flash hider. I can and will install the shorter bird cage style flash hider if the buyer wants.

I'll let you know you tomorrow on this, my brother has built quite a few of these and has had the same issue with the lighter ammo.

If you are referring to the failure to eject, I agree that the Russian stuff has two and one half things going against it:

Lacquered/STEEL (sticky) cases

Light ammo charges.

We build our guns with tighter tolerances which is not to say that the Russian stuff is junk..........far from it. It has to work in freakin' Siberia!

And you just keep it zipped, LD!

It's only the third day of the New Year and I've had enough of you!
