***SOLD***2003 Honda 919 - 24,187 miles

Sad to see it go. After my first ride, i honestly thought I would never get rid of it. But a move to Puerto Rico means all my toys have to go. I don't frequent the forum much anymore so it's probably best to get my on my cell listed below.

Text from CL ad here.

24,187 miles (ridden regularly, so this will change)
-Brand new Michelin Pilot Road 3 front and rear. Less than 1000 miles on them. They are barely worn at all. These tires are known to go 15k miles easy. They are amazing tires. It felt like a whole new bike when I put them on.
-Power Commander II
-I bought it sight unseen and the previous owner claimed it had never been down but there is a small scuff on the crank case cover. Rides straight and true.
-Clean TX title
-Yosh pipes. They sound throaty and mean but it doesn't drone when cruising. Occasionally on a ride I will switch bikes with my brother just so I can listen to the 919 from behind.
-Fresh oil change.

I honestly never thought I would sell this bike. In fact if I could only have one bike for the rest of my life, this would be it. It's infinitely better in the twisties than I am, tons of wheelie popping torque if that's your thing (I'm not into that, but I did verify it was possible during my first couple weeks of owning it), and it is a very comfortable cruiser when the time comes to slab it to work. I'm only getting rid of it due to a move to Puerto Rico for work.

Call or text with any questions. 720-300-5679

Sorry to see you in a situation where you have to let it go. Looks like a pretty realistic price. Is the Puerto Rico move permanent?

Nice looking bike, GLWS!

Ken could do another Ironbutt to bring this bike to Jacktrash

Thanks guys. It's a 2-3 year commitment. I am actually still considering putting the bike in storage. I'd hate to do that to the bike however.

You can store it here! I'm just down the road, and I'll keep the seat warm for you. She'll have two twins until the 26th, then one of the twins goes away. She'll have a CBR250, CR250, and a DRZ sleeping with her until may. Then grandma (72 gt550) comes to live with us for a few years. I intend to pimp grandma out and give her back to my brother once he is finished with school.

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

How generous of you. I'm pretty sure I would have some upset brothers if I didn't offer that to them first.

I just took it out for a long ride yesterday and I'm questioning my reasoning to sell. Anyone know anything about importing bikes to Puerto Rico?

If you do end up storing it be sure and store it with someone who has a house and isn't moving around. I'd take Beefsalad's offer up in a minute in a heartbeat. Maybe toss him a little cash for convenience sake. At least you know someone will keep it fueled up, started, running and ready to go for when you come back. I'd offer my own self as well except for the fact that I might be relocating soon and I wouldn't want to have anyone saying "WTF where did my bike go?" I
'm not sure how hard it is to import a bike to Puerto Rico but one thing is for sure that you will have to crate it up and ship it on a boat there and then back which will probably be cost prohibitive. In fact if you are probably going to pick up some cheap bike there, like a DS and then you can go and do a little adventure riding that is just a bit beyond the Hornets resume!!!!

Well that was quick.

The bike sold to the first guy to come look at it.

I was sad to see it go. There is definitely another 919 in my future.
