**SOLD**2003 919 for sale. 3500$

I impulse bought a Speed Triple, so I'm putting my 919 up for sale. It's located in the Minneapolis area. $3500. 2003, ~30k miles. Flawless custom paint, somewhat like a gloss version of Asphalt and just stunning in person. I've always run AMSOIL in it and the bike runs perfectly. Tranny seems perfect, never pops out of second or any of that nonsense.

New chain and both sprockets last year. Stealth aluminum/steel hybrid 46t rear is about the same as dropping one in the front.

900RR/600F3 six spoke wheel conversion, body colored mirrors with signals, integrated tail lights. I've got a body-colored F-18 windscreen on it now, but I think I liked it better without. Might post a picture that way.

The bike also has D&D pipes, and let me tell you they literally sold me on buying this particular hornet. I've been building muscle cars longer than I've been into bikes, so the buzzy four-banger thing doesn't do it for me. This thing's got a nice deep rumble I can get down with.

The only real cosmetic issue is a scuffed, slightly shade-mismatched gauge housing. Never got around to replacing that, but they show up on Ebay occasionally. Doesn't leak or anything, but I like the cosmetics on my machines to be top notch so it always bugged me. Otherwise this thing shows really, really well.

I actually just love this bike and I'm pretty sad to be parting with it. I don't need three bikes though, so the Hornet needs another good home. Let me know if you're interested!

I also have the stock wheels + EBC rotors available, and a set of paddock stands, so feel free to inquire about that too.

Nice looking bike. You get it painted in the area? DIY?

Thanks. My old man had a shop years ago, so I grew up painting cars for cash. I don't do it much for other people anymore, but if you know someone who's interested I might be able to shoot out a quote.

That's a clean-looking niner you've got there yourself.

Got a request for pics of the wheels and whatnot, so here they are.

The wheels are straight, and I can't find dents in the lips. Few chips here and there from changing tires, but basically in quite good cosmetic shape. The rotors would be separate, and they didn't pulse at all or show much wear when I last rode with that front wheel (earlier this spring). I think they're about three years old.

Probably want $150 for the pair of wheels and $100 for the front rotors. The rest I'm just looking to get rid of, so make an offer. I'd could pull the tires off to save on shipping if desired. Front's a Qualifier without a whole lot of tread in the middle or left side, and the back's a burnt up race takeoff that came on my S3. I mounted it for a conversation piece, I guess, but there's not much life in that one.

Sprocket was on my 9er when I got it, and I only switched to gear it. The teeth don't show much wear at all, and I think it was new the season before.

The hub, axle, and rear rotor are from the donor 900RR wheel. Don't know much about them, but they all seem serviceable.

Few extra pics of the bike for good measure too.

Got some interest in the wheels, so after pulling the rotors and shaking off some brake dust I think some extra pics of the front wheel are in order. On one side there are a couple spots where it looks like paint came off with the weights when changing tires and a maybe 1-2" scuff on the lip. Couple scuffs on the spokes, too, which sit right behind the rotor. The other side's pretty well mint.

All the pics are of the same side, so you can see it's not that noticeable.

Thanks for looking.
