Portable Digital Recorders

Hey i know there's a couple of audio geeks on here just don't remember who. I'm looking for a portable digtal recorder for recording ambient sounds that i can then use in on the computer for various works of insanity. Any recommendations or leads on something under $300?

Hey Streakin, I recognize your avatar as turn 4 at Pacific Raceways. What track days do you do? I work with 2-Fast.

Yep that's T4 Pacific, i'm a little wide from passing the slow pokes behind me.

I recall seeing you last season with a cast on your leg, you were managing the track entrance. I ran in the Seattle 100 and a couple of other 2Fast days, Nesba, Mike Sulivan (Spokane), Vroom Vroom (Thunderhill). I've stopped doing AF days since i'm not a racer and am forced to ride Intermediate.
