Just bought a 599, however, the rider (my wife) is a measly 130 pounds. This is sprung too heavy for her, otherwise it's slightly tempting.

I honestly don't think you'd need it for your wife. I got all 210 lbs of my fat ass on it and took it through some twisties pretty quick. felt more composed than the 919 stock shock did. However, I'd be more than happy to test it thoroughly for you as I haven't ridden it yet

Interested in pranking your wife before you fly over? If so, text me

Will have to pass for now - haven't even picked up the bike yet. If for whatever reason then wife doesn't/can't ride it, won't be putting more money into it.

GLWS, however. If you still have it a few months from now, lemme know, she might be interested.

Garage
Would the 599 shock be compatible with the 9er? I know the Ebay auction is over... but just for future reference.

wait, so its $250 for the shock? plus another $250 for the rework? might as well get a 919 specific penske shock at that rate.

however, if you want to give it to me for free, then I'd be glad to pay $250 for the rework

This is his 'side' line of work. I'm not sure of his hours, I just know they include a red light bulb after dark.
