If you want to gain some interest, more pictures and more details might be very helpful. Tell us why $8000 is reasonable, because saying 12k invested doesn't actually do that. I'm not in the market, but I'm very curious. Especially to see how the paintjob was carried across the bike.

I may be wrong but wasn't this bike on ebay a while ago with pictures of girls in bikinis on it and wasn't it discussed in a thread here too?

At some point, we are all probably going to get flamed over this. However, when you post a post like this, in an area with "experts*", you either need to put up (pictures and descriptions) or shut-up. In the end, I do really want to see the information, my curiousity is there.

*If nothing else, we are a group of experts at spending serious coin on modding.

I purchased this item Brand New from my local Honda Dealer in April of 2009 with Zero miles on it. As you may already know the Honda 919 only came in one color for 2007 Candy Glory Red. After purchasing this bike I began to make it my own to stand out from the rest. What I came up with was a Ducati/Mustang Shelby Cobra kind of scheme. As you can see from the pictures this motorcycle was tastefully done and you will not find one like it anywhere in the world. This bike retailed for $8499.99 not including all of the taxes, tags, title, set up, prep, freight and all of the other stuff the stealerships get from you when you purchase a new motorcycle. I have invested well over $ 4,000.00 in this motorcycle to get it to look and sound the way it does and this is not including the price of the bike out the door after the dealer had their way with me and labor charges. I will do my best to itemize all of the work that was done to this bike. Please note that this bike is in like new condition with only 325 Original Miles and has never been dropped, raced, or abused in any way and is adult owned. If you are looking for a cheap bike then look elsewhere. If you are a motorcycle fanatic that appreciates a well put together motorcycle with lots of detail then this bike is for you, I am not desperate to sell this bike so please do not email me with some ridiculous low ball offers. Serious potential buyers only please. Here is a list of the money that was invested in this bike. I have better pics of this bike I can send you if you are interested. I was having trouble posting pics here so I only posted one of many.

Again only SERIOUS Potential Buyers. Thank You.

I have since added the following to this motorcycle:

SW-Motech Centerstand- $180.00

Raybrig-Japan Metal Thunder HID Style H4 Super Bright Headlight- $70.00

Polarg-Japan Convex Tail light bulbs- $30.00

Magnetic Oil Drain Plug- $10.00

New Oil change and K&N Oil Filter - $ 35.00

Custom Made Tech-Spec Factory cut Tank Pads- $60.00

Battery Charger- $30.00

Motogear Extreme Indoor Cover $30.00

Add all of this up and that is another $500.00 to the $4230.00 that already went into this bike.

I am looking to sell this bike by the end of the week. Thanks, Carlos

Thanks for the pic's. She is a beautiful bike. If, however, you are in a hurry to sell, you will probably need to re-think things. In the past, when I was in a hurry to sell (or it was off season), the mods made little or no difference, because they only matter to the "right" person, everyone else thinks, "nice...."

Either way, best of luck!!!

If you want opinions from those here regarding a price for a "fast" sell, use the PM feature under folks names.

I should add up all the mods on my bike, know I have far more money invested than I originally paid for it. Doesn't mean that I'll ever get it back though.

Anyway, nice looking 919 caferacer, best of luck selling it.

All I see is a $4900 bike. That's if you're lucky. Bone stock bikes usually bring the same or more than a heavily modded one. Plus, most of this country is in a recession.

You're going to have to take all that bolt on stuff, back off and sell it separately. Then maybe find someone that will trade your tank, tail and fender for theirs, plus some boot.

Man, you had "919 Moditis" bad, didn't you? That's a Barbie doll with wheeels. I had "Moditis" too. But no more. I'd just as soon buy something that needs nothing extra to make it what I wanted in the first place.

Nice bike, tho.

Cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, reasonably accurate. The bolt on stuff would bring more (IMO) sold separately. But, I think the tank, etc... painting will help the value.

And, your SD needs pipes and a chip......

If the other person didn't already do it...

Unfortunatley, I have to agree with the others that you'd get more by returning the bike to stock and selling the aftermarket parts separately. I've recently sold a very modified car and dirt bike, and the odds are heavily against you getting anywhere near what you have invested.

I do wish you the best of luck on the sale! I love the paint job, it's a really nice, clean bike!

I guess maybe he should have just spent the $11k on a monster+ $1k on aftermarkets, because that appears to what might have been his end vision. It would have been easier.

I remember seeing this for sale on ebay almost a year ago. Hmm

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

FWIW, the Insurance Co. of the guy at fault valued my bike at over $10k, and offered me as much to buy it. I easily have close to $14 or $15k total into it. They also offered to let me keep it with a clear Title plus about $4k (maybe more... I forgot already). Mine's got alot more done to it, though.

Maybe easier, but then it's still no custom. Something about individuality that resonates with certain people. I'm one of them, and the uniqueness of my bike was well worth it.
