International Scout

I am looking for an International Scout......either the Scout II or the older 80/800 models. I would like for it to be in North Carolina. James.....there has got to be one in your neck of the woods....

I had a 1976 Scout Terra and I loved it. I have finally decided to get another one.

What's your price cap, so I'll know what to look for?

As a finders fee, when I buy the thing I will bring with me 5 pounds of fresh North Carolina shrimp or a couple of bushels of North Carolina Oysters (depending on the season) and a case of "good" beer.

funny thing was one really didn't look like it was in great shape and they wanted that kinda money. Well here i've actually seen this one around before! Can't see it worth that kinda money, but they certainly are not making any of them anymore!

Every so often there appears to be a yellow one whose owner can't make up his mind about for sale up the road from my office but I believe it's in the 4-6k range.

Try looking for a Subaru Brat in decent condition. I've found people asking 3K-4K for ones that don't even run. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or in this case, owner...

Well, it went well. It is mechanically very sound. The body is a little rough. I am going to have to cut out the rocker panels and weld in some new ones. Other than that there are patches of rust here and there......I will post pictuers when I pick the thing up tomorrow (pending I figure out how to post pictures).

Thanks for all your efforts. On my way to the mountains next month I will relay some seafood. If I can't stop by the get together I will let the two of you work out the details.
