Which is what I might as well have titled all the ads I've run for this thing...
2001 Lincoln Town Car Executive Sedan, 118k miles, fully loaded including cd changer, white with grey leather, very good condition, runs and drives great. $6000 OBO.
Selling it for my attorney, have been running ads for a month without a single bite. Seems the market's a bit soft for large vehicles right now, go figure. He's stuck on getting close to $6000, might have to take it to auction, although it will probably only bring $4500 there.
It actually does drive very nice, all floaty and isolated from the world. Not my cup of tea but surely someone out there still wants to motor about in full size luxury?
looks good. My neighbor has the mercury and it get him around 24 mpg
Yeah, my attorney says it will get 23-24 highway and high teens around town, but that's not the public perception when they see a large luxury car. Just like SUV's unfortunately, that market segment is dead right now.
HEY! My LandRover gets about 15 on the highway and 8 in town... Now that is some good mileage.
Stupid Al Gore, he's the one causing the bad rap on large autos. I like stopping at all the gas stations, it allows me to see all the little places they you all pass up. Kind of like a history lesson on wheels.
When the family is going places we drive the BMW. It consistently gets 23 city and on my last trip to Tennessee I managed 31 Hwy. Not to shabby for a 5 series.
I've always been impressed with BMW's ability to squeeze performance and economy out of their straight 6 engines. My 330Ci was a screamer and still would get 30+ on road trips. Even the all wheel drive X3 got high 20's on the highway.
