Beautiful car, I've been toying with the idea of a GTI when my current lease is up, they always turn my head when I see one on the road. Last couple of cars have been BMW's, thinking it might be time to simplify a bit and get back to my VW roots.

How do you like the DSG trans? I probably would choose a 6 speed, but I haven't driven a DSG car to compare.

Been a manual guy all my life. If I hadn't driven one, I would have said "no way". I really like it. Most of the attributes of a manual with the convienance of auto. Much quicker shifts. It even semi-rev matches on down-shifts.

Bump!

I love the seats in the GTI. I wish I had them in my A4 2.0T S-Line. Great high side bolsters and I love the blue gauges in the dash-looks awesome at night. The DSG tranny is unreal...the needle in the tachometer bounces so fast between shifts! 0.2 of a second! If you chip the GTI engine with GIAC's software you'll get another 40 hp and 60 lbs./ft torque. The tough part is keep all that power tractioned to the road!

Life's too short to put ugly chics on bikes
