FOR SALE: New Teknic Violator Suit, Size 42

I got this suit a week ago, after checking Teknic's sizing chart.
It was one size bigger than I wear, but when I tried it on, it barely fit.
I don't know how they came up with their chart, but it's wrong.
It's a special order item and can't be exchanged.
I'm planning on calling Teknic to complain about their chart, and hope they can help.

Here's the suit details. I got the red one.

http://www.teknicgear.com/catalog.php?styleid=1&pid=3

I want $500 for it. I'll take care of shipping charges.

PM me if interested.

I got the Chicane suit, I wear a 44, but had to order a 46 because the 44 was tiny.

Oh and I "TESTED" it at Homestead... passed with flying colors.

Actually, it is not so much the US - EURO conversion. About two or so years ago, Teknic went with a slimmer Euro fit for their suits. Their suits are made slimmer - simple. Sorry guys, Europeans are built slimmer than we are.

Also, sizing charts are proprietory to each manufacturer. They decide on their patterns what a 44, 46 or whatever size actually corresponds to. Most charts are a general reference tool. Also, your individual build can impact how a suit fits. Like, if you got a bit 'o a belly - your chest size will not work.

I am interested in the suit. What are your measurements? Where did the suit feel tight?

So what you're saying, is that Euros are built like little girls?

I called Teknic today and told them how I feel about their sizing chart.
The dude did not understand why Tucker Rocky wouldn't exchange it for the right size. So I told the guys at Cycle Depot about this and after they called
TR, we're going to send it back for an exchange.
But since I already posted here, I can let you have it but at the price I paid, which is $507 and change plus 8.25% tax. For $550 I'll deliver it to you for test fitting. If it doesn't fit then I can return it.
Where in Socal are you?

EDIT: My measurements are 31 waist, 30 inseam, 38 chest. It felt like a wetsuit, too snug all over.

I haven't got much of a gut, the problem is the length of the torso, I'm 6'2" and it seems the 44 was made for a guy that is at the most 6'0"...
I guess the only proper way is to get custom leather$ made.

Thanks Sokali, but you should just return the suit and get your full cash back. I will wait it out until I get back to buy a suit. GL.

WIM, they're not open yet.

Here's the deal folks, I got the suit for $507 + tax. Size 42 was a closeout item and was the size I needed according to the Teknic sizing chart. Any other size is $100 more, they're not closeout items.
At the time, I did not want to spend more than $500 on a suit. I've changed my mind since then, and want to upgrade to Veloce gear.
So if anyone would like to get a Violator suit for $600, I can ask for an exchange for your size to be drop shipped to you. I'm losing around $65 on the deal.
If there's no interest, I'll try to get a refund. I have a feeling that won't be easy.

Mike
