Feeler for a 2002 919 in NC

May have to sell her to help pay for a new AC unit for the house so we can rent it out when I move to TX's for a new gig. I hate it so much, having priorities and being an adult blows sometimes. I may try and figure out a way to keep it but I'm seeing if there'd be any interest on here.

She's got 18500 miles (and climbing) I ride this thing a lot. Sprockets and DID X-ring chain put on a couple thousand miles ago, haven't had to adjust it yet. PR2's with about 4500 miles on them and barely showing wear. In great condition, no dents or scratches.

I'm thinking of asking $3500.

Sad to hear but GLWS! Your asking price is very fair, it should sell quickly.

Thanks dudes, also forgot to mention I have a set of debaffled cans on there now but will throw in the stockers as well. Also have added grab handle hole covers, adjustable levers, and a buell flyscreen since this picture

I really don't want to let it go, but I would have to take out a credit card to cover the costs, I don't really wanna do that. I have about $5700 bucks to pay off right now, that's at 0% interest for a while longer, I'd hate to add another 4k to that if I don't have to. 10k bucks on a credit card is not something I wanna have just to keep the bike.

There's still a little hope though, gonna check on some connections through friends that maybe can do the job on the cheap so I'm holding out for that.

Does the A/C really have to be replaced or can it be fixed? Maybe a second opinion would help.

No it works fine, but it's super old, and we have oil heat since it's an old house. To be able to rent the house and eventually sell I'm gonna have to replace them. No one wants to spend 800-1000 bucks every winter to heat the house.

Yeah our winters never get that cold, and don't stay very cold for that long. Now that I think about it I probably spend at least 1200 per winter, but either way I was told by a realtor it'd be about impossible to rent with that oil heat.

Have you considered a personal loan from a local credit union? They usually offer a lot better rates than your typical big bank. My AC went out last August in Texas when it was like 106 in the shade. I borrowed $5,500 from my credit union and was nice n cool by the next day. Just a thought.....

Hopefully you can angle a way to keep it, but fwiw I just sold mine - there was lots of interest listing it at $4k - 919s are hard to find and its peak season.

you could always include the oil in the cost of the rent, then advertise as free heat! say you wanted $800 a month and oil set you back $150, then ask for $900...pretty close and people love free stuff. might want to contractually state a limit so people dont have the heat up to 85 with the windows open all winter!
