Arai RX-7 Corsair Wraith

I bought Ken's Shoei, so I thought I might as well get rid of this if anybody wants it. It's in great condition, but there is a 1/2" surface scratch below the left rear vent. I'm not sure how it got there... it's not like it was ever dropped or anything like that. I just thought I'd mention it so you know that I know about it when the buyer inspects or polishes it one day. Excellent ventilation.

I bought it off a friend who didn't like the way it fit his head. I think the Corsair is designed for those with a more round or square head, rather than long oval.

Item: Arai RX-7 Corsair Wraith
Size: Large
Manufacture Date: 11/2005
Bought New: 02/2007
Condition: Great; Interior just washed fresh & clean (if you don't like the deal, I'll take it back). See pics.
Asking Price: $225 plus shipping.

This is Arai's top of the line helmet, as far as I know. Over $600 new, but you can usually find it for around $500+ new.

The RX-7 is what Arai calls an "Intermediate Oval". It's in the middle between the "Long Oval" and the "Round Oval". I believe it's the most popular shape that Arai makes, as it's very much like Baby Bears porridge---Just right---for most people.

What's wrong with it that you switched to the Shoei for the same price?

That's funny you asked that specific question!

Check out his video:

I'm gonna be doing this on Saturday, Dec. 22, dressing up as a Sportbike Santa. This guy had a red helmet with a mirrored face shield, and when I saw Ken's helmet, I said "That would be perfect!". So I bought Ken's, and now I still have this. So I just figured, "Heck, I'll just sell it for the same price and call it even." It's an alot more expensive helmet than the Shoei RF-1000, actually.

I also have another Arai RX-7 Corsair in Black, and I thought with my Flat Black 919, and black helmet, I wouldn't pull off the Santa thing like this guy did.

Anyway, I don't really need to sell it, since I like to switch helmets around, rather than mess around with visors. This one was for my night rides, with the lighter color and the clear shield.

BTW, I don't really have to sell it. It was more of an "Impulse Buy = Impulse Sell" kinda thing.

Dude attracted a few hotties with that get up. Maybe I'll dress up like Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo and do that.

Check in when you're ready. I'm in no rush to sell. In fact, if I may say so myself, i think it's a steal, hehehe..., so I'm beginning to think about calling off the sale! This is a NICE helmet. I just thought ragdoll may want it. But since I posted, and you called dibs, then it's yours if you want it.

I should clarify that with Arai helmets, they recommend to replace a helmet 7 years after date of manufacture, or 5 years after it was first fitted. This helmet was purchased new in February (or March) of this year, and hardly worn at that. Nevertheless, would use that date as a basis for your decision.

Just don't look at her and go "Ho, ho, ho."
