900rr exhaust *feeler

i am thinking of selling my 900rr exhaust and putting the dual exhaust setup back on the 919...

i have a stainless steel 900rr exhaust header with a c/f (i think yoshi) can on it.. (bolt on)

the can will go in the trash.... the header is in great shape... it needs to be cleaned ...

someone convince me to sell it.... or make me a offer i can't refuse...

You can't handle the raw power of 900rr set up. (Consider yourself convinced!)

Mine is on its way or I'd pick yours up. can you do me a favor? I need the outside diameter of the tail end of the header. I need to have yet another adapter made so my new pipe will work.

I knew someone had that number laying around. I couldn't remember if you said that the Can you ordered was 62 or 64 and you used exhaust tape to make up the difference? I am having a nice little piece machined that gets press fitted into the can and will slip over the header. 60mm OD is very doable!!!

This is made from a scrap piece of billet laying around the shop.

I've got the boy out cutting the grass, the girls cleaning the house and I feel a huge crap coming on! (like you really needed the last detail) It doesn't get any better!

The wife is getting ready for tonight where we will have a hearty Steak Dinner and some well deserved time alone.

using the 900rr exhaust header.. it is a gp and it comes out in a dual... if you understand... when it swings out around the tire it splits into 2 and you could use the little glasspacks like beardlessj did on his gp... i saw something that looks like what i am talking about i will find a picture...

Rub it in why don't you! As a matter of fact, while your rubbing it in you can rub... j/k

I would have preferred no adapter but the can was made wrong! Since it was wrong I was able to pick it up for a whole lot less. They will be 60mm from here on out so that no adapter is needed. I am also working on the same Can to be used as a stock placement dual slip on system.

This works for now as a prototype system.

Is that Sato very loud? I have window shopped a couple places to look at price. There is always a warning about how loud they are.

well it is 105db at 3k so it passes inspection. yea i checked. loudest it gets is 118db but the wind noise is louder unless im going slower but high rpms. but where most my riding is the wind is louder, coarse that is 100mph but at those speeds i cannot hear the pipe... nor am i trying to..

when i took out the y pipe for the gp exhaust i got lazy and brought out the sawz all....so if anyone needs a factory y pipe with the black coating on it, i can weld it back together and ship it to u for $40....

barton...i am still thinking on the 900rr headers, if i decide i want them we can re-negotiate the deal...lol

does anyone know if the 900rr headers will still fit/look good with the MBD belly pan?

and to avoid searching, do they have a big effect on power?
