Good luck with the sale. I like your craigslist add, my favorite part is below:
I have priced the bike at a low $4000.00. Saves the meaningless haggling. If you like, I can re-list it at $4800.00 and let you talk me down to $4000.00. Any less, I might as well keep it, ride it, and list it at the same price in another year or two.
Holy crap! Guess I missed out on a nice bike, newer than the one I just picked up! I just got my 2004 with 5726 miles for $3900 but would have rather had a newer one. I already sold my 07 with 26,000 in mid-2009 but found it being sold at a local dealer (the buy who I sold it to traded it in on an FZ1) for $4300 and I offered them $4000 cash but they turned me down!
Too bad I wasn't a WT member sooner. I would have found your bike and flew down to ride it home!
Have any of you figured up your income tax return yet?
I guess the market just is what it is. I cannot believe that I can't move this thing at this price. NADA average retail is $5175. Heck, even trade value is $3500. The sad part is, after a dealer has given me $3500 for it, they are going to put it out front for $5000+. Then we (me and the person who eventually buys it) have both taken a screwing.
