1995 Suzuki Bandit S

My wife decided she prefers to ride with me on the 919. She feels like there are too many things to do while keeping a sharp eye on the traffic around her. I am quite pleased she admitted this to me before something went awry. My reasons for this post are twofold:
1.) The obvious, to see if anyone is interested.
2.) I'm struggling with the asking price. It's an older bike but at 8800 miles, it has a lot left to give. It is in excellent condition, everything works, good tires good brakes, good chain... turn key if you will. I have it listed on the local CL for $2000. I'm aware that it is a moot point, but I have a fair amount more money in it than that.
So I'll take any opinions or cash

That's one cool little bike! I had a '96 back in the day and had tons of fun on that little thing. As hard as I tried I couldn't break it and it's not a half bad back road burner to boot!

You should have no issues getting that price as it's more than fair.

Yeah, I had a 96, too, and loved how much power you could coax out of the thing with Holeshot's re-jetting kit. $2k may be too low? Where's the ex bike salesman (Barton) when you need him?

Try looking at prices for similar bikes in your area on cycletrader.com. Your Bandit looks a lot better than any $2K used bike I've seen lately. Especially with the low miles!

[QUOTE=barton664;319659]I would say 3000$~ and no lower than 2200$[/QUOTE

Thats what I was thinking, a few months ago I listed it for $2500... not one call. I then tried $2100, nothing. I had a guy beg me to sell him the bike over the phone at $2000 "Please man save it for me, I'll be there with cash"... never showed. Is it me or does CL bring out the strange rangers? I listed a bicycle a few weeks back, a guy asks me if I have to have cash. Instead of what? Goats and chickens?
Anyhow, the "economy" has come to stay with me so I need the space. An extra motorcycle doesn't make sense.

CL is a harsh mistress, good exposure, but with no cost of entry besides having internets, you get all kinds. $2k seems like a bargain to me for that bike and those miles, but maybe it's more of a niche bike, especially considering almost 15 years old now?

I don't know if it's cool to bump your own thread, but here goes... I read the post about marking something sold when you're done. The kid who I wouldn't let take the bike because of his inexperience never showed up for it
So the bike is still available, I have a second option for those interested:
Give me $5700 for the Bandit and I'll throw in an immaculate 2003 Smoke Grey 919 with 13k on the odo, Pirelli Strada's and a 520 conversion (a couple thousand miles on the tires and chain)
That's right Ladies and Gents buy one get one free!
I should sell Swivel Sweepers.

Troy, you should seriously consider making the trip! I've been biting my tongue not to say "I'll take it!". The lil' bandit is a GREAT bike and at that price you CAN'T go wrong.

That would be an incredibly sweet perk to have, I'm jealous.
