'07 Yamaha FJR1300A

Ok, it's officially for sale...

2007 Yamaha FJR1300A, 1800 miles, Black Cherry, ABS brakes, power windshield, factory side cases, liners and top trunk. Stock other than larger windshield, oem shield included. Like new condition, never been dropped, no damage anywhere on bike.

Incredible machine, fast and solid on the highway, handles like it's on rails, can eat up the slab comfortably at triple digit speeds and still make you smile in the curves. Bought it on a whim last year, realize now that I won't use its touring capabilities enough to justify having it sit in the garage.

I'm listing it for $10,900, price for WT members can be significantly lower if anyone's seriously interested.

I'll take some new pics and get them posted, for now all I have are glamour shots.

So your garage gets a little cramped and the most amazing 2up ST gets the boot. Apparently Gin is a fiercely independent rider. Last year I would have been on the next plane to scoop it up, but now my goal is owning a powerful bike that's much lighter than the svelte 9er. Good luck with the easy sale!

Ah, space isn't the issue, just seems like someone should be using it for long distance touring instead of having it sit there in my garage waiting for the occasional ride. I enjoy the 919 more around town and on the country roads, which truthfully accounts for 99% of my riding.

Also selling Gin's '02 Kaw Vulcan 500, which will pay for her newly acquired GS. I'll have an extra ten grand or so from the sale of the FJR, which will allow me to find something I'll ride more regularly.

How bout frownies?

Are you seeing any of the images? Seems odd that smilies wouldn't work. It is just a gif in the images/smilies directory here on WT. Could your connection be blocking things with smilies in the address? I don't know what the old url was for them, maybe they have moved.

Don't have a clue....since the change I can't upload pics, use the smilies, or access the casino....starting to get frustrated since I use up all of my patience on my kids.

Sorry Scott......didn't mean to hi-jack. Someone buy this bike!

I think Gin needs a 919 and you need a Superhawk. That's what I think! That way you guys could have matching 919s when you're riding together, and you'd have a Superhawk when you aren't.

I stuck her on the 919 yesterday but she has to slide off the side to even touch one toe, although I'm sure she could ride it if necessary. She fired it up on the stand and gave it a rev, got a thrill from the bark of the Satos. Think she's set now with her 599 and GS though.

Not sure what my next bike will be after I sell the FJR, couple of guys looking at stuff on here giving me ideas! Ok, actually I want a F800GS, but don't want to buy new, so might wait a year or so until they hit the used market and depreciate a bit.

Not sold yet. Nice guy, showed up at the appointed time, rode up on a '98 Harley FXLSXFSXLSLowriderRoadKingFatboy (I'm not good with HD identification). Said his wife rides too, she has a HD Springer, he bought his new and has been thinking it's time to move on to a Sport Touring bike. Had done his research on FJR's, read all about them and knew all the features. He said he was a bit intimidated by the 145hp vs his 62hp, I told him a motorcycle is a motorcycle, just get on and ride it.

I lowered the seat for him and took it out onto the street, didn't want deja vu at the bottom of the driveway. He took off for about a 10 minute ride, which as anyone that's ever sold a bike knows felt like an hour to me. He came back and said he really liked it and took some pictures, didn't make me an offer but said he's going home to think about it and will call me later.

I'm thinking he'll buy it but you never know, I do know that as he rides home on his HD that he'll be thinking about how sweet that Black Cherry FJR felt in comparison! Here's what he rode up on...

That is an Electraglide Classic, HD's least expensive touring bike. Looks pretty stock except for the seat, windshield and grips.

Guess he'd told me that, didn't stick because I'm not a Harley guy. He said he'd never ridden a sport bike or sport touring bike before, I found it interesting that he's considering a FJR.

Did he keep checking the tach to make sure the FJR was running? If he rode up on that, he is probably used to fillings coming loose in his head and not the calm purring of "modern" engine designs.

that and the whole "not having to clean up oil spills" will make him a happy camper...

all you gotta worry about is him going home and seeing the investment he has in wardrobe and changing his mind...

It's a perfect transition for an HD rider. He must think it's a lightweight supersport. After he seals the deal, move the auction bike. Use the cash to zig zag the country and stay at 5* hotels with your squeeze.

Actually this guy was not your "typical" Harley rider. He rode up wearing a Joe Rocket jacket, riding boots, gloves, and a full face helmet. Definitely not your typical Harley guy, I expected Harley t-shirt, biker boots, sunglasses and a dew rag.

I'm so tired of getting these! I got one that told me I was not asking enough and that they looked it up on a site (hidded URL via TinyURL.com) strongly suggesting that I click the link to check for myself! Whatever! I told him I'd be happy to charge him double if he would like? His response was... did you check the link I sent you? My response was "I'm Not Stupid, if you want to buy it for twice the amount I'm asking your free to do so.... I'm not clicking on the link you sent because I know what your up to, you worthless POS"

Scott, are you and Gin still doing the Advanced Rider Course in June?

That bike is dead sexy and some day I will own an FJR, just not yet.

But if I were even half-way serious I'd be all over it like RC90 on Moto.

I'm gonna send the link to my brother-in-law.
My sister will be pi$$ed but it would be worth it if there's even a chance...
