'05 919 Gorgeous! For Sale

OK here she is. I assure you, these pictures do not do this bike justice. She is absolutely flawless! It's killing me to sell, but I just started my surgical residency and I cannot stand to see her sit in the garage.

2005 Honda 919, Metallic gloss black. 12K miles, original owner, clean title, never ever down. I purchased it when I was in med school in chicago in april of '05. Most of the miles are long distance trips. Rode her back and forth to chicago a couple times, down to deal's gap twice (btw, no better bike to ride down there and shred the dragon on!), etc. I have done all of the mods and maintenance myself. I change the oil with only Repsol 4T Racing full synthetic every 2k miles religiously (yes, I have done it on the road during trips). No one is as meticulous as me when it comes to taking care of a bike. It has never seen a night outside the garage (except on trips). NEVER BEEN DOWN. Never ever done a wheelie, EVER! (I like speed, not showing off) I used to be a car detailer so this baby has more wax on it than most Ferraris. There is not a scratch or chip on it.

The mods:
Sato Carbon Fiber exhausts
Power Commander III usb with custom mapping (amazing throttle response, bulls like a truck all the way through the gears)
K&N Air filter
Goodridge Stainless Brake Lines
Custom machined PAIRS block off plates (courtesy of wristtwisters.com)
Fender Eliminator with smoked tail light
DePrettoMoto tail rack (see pic) imported from Italy
Bianco smoked windshield imported from Italy (you CANNOT find this stuff outside Europe)
Renthal Road Bars, aluminum with Renthal grips, wider stance
Custom LED front turn signals
Motovation Frame sliders (mounted to frame, not engine) (double as highway pegs)
Custom aluminum machined chain guard with HORNET insignia (see pic)
Currently wearing Metzeler M-1 shoes (best rubbers on the road in my opinion)
Rear fender removed with custom low profile license plate holder (see pic)
Custom carbon fiber leather seat. (My father owns an upholstery shop, so I ordered the foam from Sargent and shaped the seat myself. It's very comfortable and much more lightweight than the corbin. I can go for a few thousand miles on it and it still looks like a sportbike seat.)

The extras:
Ventura complete luggage rack system with all attachments
Givi soft saddle bags in matching carbon fiber
Givi soft tail bag in matching carbon fiber
Honda 919 Service Manual in digital and print formats
Bunch of 919/Hornet stickers

I also have every single stock part and all of the manuals for all of the parts.

My plan was to convert the bike to stock and sell the goodies separately because it is worth more that way. If I sell the bike stock, I will sell the separate parts, but I will not sell parts until the bike is sold.

The turkey:
Stock bike: $4500
As is with the mods (not the extras): $5500
I will price the parts individually after the bike is sold.
I am open to offers everywhere in between. Feel free to come see her.

I also have a foldup trailer with two condor wheel chocks in great shape for sale if interested.

Pics to follow...

Where did you get that rack replacing the grab bar? I like that. Good luck with the sale!

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Had it imported from Italy from a family member. Cost too much in customs and a lot of trouble. I liked it too...Thanks! It's from DPM, no one imports their stuff here. If you don't want to spend all your money, don't look for their online catalog...

It looks like clear tape on the rear cowl above the cans and also some on the cans? Is that something you put on to protect the paint?

I'll be ready to buy a bike in about 2 weeks. Yours looks good. Maybe we can work something out. My first choice would be a black '05 and I like most of your mods. Sounds like you take top notch care of her. Was hoping to find one with lower miles but otherwise hard to fault.

Big Mike, If it makes you feel any better, I just moved here last year. I would love to go ridin if I ever get out of work. Let me know when youre going and I will see what I can do.

And yes that is protective vinyl to protect the paint and the cans when I put the luggage on. There are no marks on the paint itelf.
