Love the idea. Looked round trying to find an example somewhere but came up empty. Let me know what inspired this line of thought so I can see an example to base it around.
Simple enough, trip & planning resources are out there. Send me the links to your favorites and I'll put them in the Touring Waypoints / Touring Journal forums.
Have that already in the touring journal. Problem with going "by state" means creating 50 subforums, that's just bulky. Perhaps some search refinement would get the job done, like advanced search for Kentucky targeted at a specific forum. Just not sure this can become granularly organized without becoming cumbersome at the same time.
It's built into the code so it's a click of a switch to turn on, tried it on 600rr.net result = failed, under-used didn't justify resource consumption. Tried it on 1000rr.net result = failed, under-used didn't justify resource consumption.. Tried it on floridasportbikers.com = failing, under utilized, didn't justify resource consumption.
Chat sounds nice, but in actuality it's rarely used because it's mostly real time and that's not convenient for many people. The streaming does eat up server resources also. Just don't see it as worthy imo.
Happy to add smilies, need to make a master smilie pak one day when I've spare time. If you have ones you'd like immediately just shout. Audible smilies isn't going to happen. I can picture someone scrambling for the volume button at work while an audible smilie screams profanity.
