Screen Name Change - Moderators?

Hi Mods and Admins -

I am contemplating retiring the WIM-RC51 name. Even though it has been alive since the days of motorush, I am thinking of change... yes, I used the C word.

So... can it be done without creating a new indentity?

WIM

Well.... WIM stands for something I am no longer a part of. Even though I am quite fond of the WIM moniker, I think it is time to let it go.

Hopefully, it will be a Ducati I get next. But no matter what... if there are bikes in my garage again I will be replacing the RC51 at some point. I love the bike and miss it.

It's Official

Well..... It's official. WIM-RC51 is no more. Long live Aquila-RC51 (I hope!)

So... why Aquila?

Well, Mistermike alludes to it with his Wiki Cliff notes. However, Aquila in Roman times meant Eagle. And as you all know, Veloce and all the designs are inspired by the Roman Era. In Roman times, an Aquila was the Standard or Banner / Colors carried into battle by all Roman Armies. The "Aquilifer" was the Bearer of the Standard and was highly regarded in the Legion.

Veloce also has an Aquila which is the Veloce Logo - the Red Eagle. Aquila Rutilus (Red Aquila) might have been a little long winded - and thus Aquila RC51.... I still hope to own a bike again someday... So, there ya have it. Aquila is to align me more with something I am involved with - Veloce, which in a sense was born on this site thanks to member input.

Aquila - The Saki Master Formerly Known as WIM.

Wiki Notes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquila_(Roman)

PS: Very weird, the link goes haywire. Just type in Roman Aquila on Google.
