Popcorn guy

Popcorn is F*CKING awesome? Am I right? I LOVE popcorn , and every time I see this little guy munching away, I can't help but be jealous of his stash. Here's to popcorn, and to the provider of the best damn smiley I've ever seen.

Movie Theater Butter
Carmel
Chocolate & Carmel
Nacho Cheese
Ranch

It's all good.

Have you ever done the hole in the bottom of the large popcorn in the movie theater and have her first get startled and then have fun?!

You're not right!

As far as popcorn goes, Black Jewell premium microwave is the best I've ever found...

Oil would be conducive...salt on the other hand.

And now I'm emotionally scarred, thanks :P

That's funny, I just got some of the unpopped variety - gonna try it out today. I bought one of the mini oil popcorn poppers from Costco - BEST DECISION IN MY LIFE.

Suede, congrats on the new purchase.

I had one of these for a while:
http://www.target.com/Original-Stir-...0popper&page=1
It was AWESOME! Best tasting popcorn I ever made at home.

I'm a production artist working for a large packaged food company, I work on ACT II & Orville Redenbacher microwave popcorns regularly.
I still just don't really care for the microwave varieties, it just doesn't taste as good as the real deal heated up in a pan of hot oil.

True that, yo, there's a chemical taste with the microwave, and the classic poppers are a treat to watch, as well as your described pan method. Sometimes, I really do just go to the movies for the popcorn.

... and sometimes there's really just no taste at all.

Case in point: I have a box of Orville Smart Pop 94% Fat Free Butter microwave popcorn on my desk here at work. It has nearly no flavor.

If you try my method of serving popcorn in the theater as stated above ... with the right girl, there can be taste?

I was pleasantly surprised. Great scenery, some humor, the usual gun fights.
Viggo was excellent.
