When I push on notifications for new posts on subscribed threads, it doesn't open the app. Is there any way to make it that way, like all other apps on my Android.

You can try clearing the cache for the app, or using one of the app killer apps to close it then restart it. Mine does some off the wall stuff, but usually I can reset it and it will work just fine.

It's not the notifications on the bottom of the app that has the red number to show new messages and posts on subscribed, it's the notifications on the home screen.

The first picture shows a new notification from WT. The 2nd pic is dragging the top menu bar down (for those unfamiliar) that shows what's new. Clicking on the notification for other apps, news app for example, will open the app and take me to the article. I feel like the notifications for the WT app ought to implement that, if that's not asking too much.

When you click on notifications, it takes you to the app and thread??

Maybe I'll try moving the app from my SD card to the internal memory. I've reinstalled multiple times for other reasons but I've never gotten that to work.

I have a feeling this was done by the last owners and we are now left in the dark ages with our app.....

My experience with the android app is pretty good except for a few issues:

1.Subscribed thread notifications, once clicked, fail at bringing up the thread, it looks like it tries to bring up the app and go to thread, but no go.

2. Even if I know there is a thread update, I still have to manually refresh everything. If anyone ever works on the darn thing, a refresh on certain tasks should be included.

There was a recent update for the Android version of the App. Are you still having issues with subscribing and refreshing?

Yup. Still the same. Galaxy nexus, 4.2.1 jellybean. Seems like if I haven't manually opened the app, and have it currently active or recently used, it just won't work a derk.

Would you able to provide more info. Will the app not load at all for you unless it is left open. Also are you still having issues with subscribed threads?

Can you send some screen shots of the issues.

Thanks

A screenshot would not adequately describe what is occurring any better than just writing about, due to the fact that there is nothing to capture really, its the cause effect sequence you'll have to tune your ears to......save doing a screen capture recording, which I could do but I kinda feel that's a pain.

Say I just start my phone. I know my subscribed threads have new posts because I checked on the PC. Phone will not display a notification....generally, until wrist twisters has been started at least once.

Or maybe the notifications work fine or only some of the time. Main issue is that when I tap on a notification for a thread having new posts, unless the app was very recently opened, and I have not "backed" all the way out of it till it closed, when you hit the notification, wrist twisters does not open, and take me to my first unread post in that thread.

My notifications pop up just fine, but when I click on them, nothing happens 99% of the time. The app does not open, and the notifications just 'go away'. I then have to launch the app manually.

Even then, it usually opens blank, with just the menu. So I have to hit 'refresh' for things to pop up. And even if I head into my PM's, it won't show any new ones until again, I hit refresh.

I'm so used to it now, I kinda forget that that's probably not normal, lol...

FYI, nothing changes after clearing cache or removing/reinstalling the app, even after reloading a new ROM.

This.

The only thing clearing the cache has done for me is letting profile pics and images in posts load, as often times images won't load at all. Clearing the cache fixes this temporarily. I dunno, but I believe it should have something to do with how the file structure on android 4.2.1 has changed significantly from earlier versions with those stupid profiles and emulated SD folder stuff. I'm no android expert but I suspect....

Is there anyway to turn off the message about the mobile app whenever I am in the stock browser? I got tired of opening up a forum link in a new tab and it telling me I can use the wristtwisters app. if I had wanted to use it I would already be using it?
