Changing my air filter

I just bought my bike about 2 months ago I changed all the fluids and was looking in to changing my air filter but wasn't sure if it would be less of a pain to go out in town to have it changed got me

It seems pretty straight forward. Note that this shows a 2005, and the thread mentions that some of the side plastics may not need to come off, just the tank cover. The 2003 parts fiches look quite similar to the 2005 as far as accessing the filter.
