What image and in what thread? What browser are you using on your Note9? Are you using the Enhanced Mobile View or desktop view?

Voth Chrome and the Samsung browser. Using the enhanced mobile view, recent thread for Satos for sale. Both browsers work on the Note 4, haven't tried desktop view yet.

Correction, I'm using the classic view, not mobile. The error is "this site can't be reached", the page at (link) might be down or it may have moved permanently to a new web add.

Correction: I was using the enhanced mobile view. I went to the classic desktop view and I am able to see the pics.

Ever since the cloud migration issue all the outside linked pics no longer display properly. only way to get a pic to show up on most VS forums is to host it here on the forum software embedded etc

***On the normal desktop web browser***

I found the "enhanced mobile view" by accident and am able to view picks that are embedded on the site now.

Outside linked pictures from a host site that is NOT https, will no longer show on browsers. This is due to browsers blocking mixed content.

Please provide a link to a thread where you saw this so we can look into it.

Here is one from one of my personal sites and you are correct it is not https nor would anyone ever really think that would be neccessary for hosting pics

Original link

http://www.rc51.org/upload/funkyskull2.jpg
[img][/img] are installed directly below this sentence on that same link.

Effectively anyone that is using their own website (which you would think would be preferable to forum bandwidth servers) to host pictures has been neutered.

All browsers are blocking non-https content. This is also in line with Google blocking all non HTTPS.

If you're going to continue to use your site to host images, you will be required to upgrade to HTTPS.

While you can always use a different hosting site, we suggest uploading the images directly to the site using the attachment manager icon.

You do realize that outside linked non-https content is displayed on every single other web forum I own, moderate on or even frequent regardless of browser type outside of Vertical Scope forums.

If browsers started blocking all content from any website that was not secure it would shut down the majority of the websites on the web.

My point is simply the more convoluted you make the process of viewing and/or using a forum to the general public the less people will use it.

You and I have seen the same numbers over the years and while it is big business to some the target audience is losing interest in all of these corporate controlled forums. Sometimes less is more except when it comes to actual viewership.

Google has been since July began its campaign to block sites without valid SSL certificates.
