You're asking the impossible.
You cannot teach someone a skill if they are not willing to learn.
The best you can do is learn their behavior and react accordingly.
I see every day cars merging onto the highway and immediately to the left lanes regardless of traffic conditions.
This leaves the right lane open to pass.
Although passing on the right is dangerous, this is the only way around slower traffic.
One hazard in particular:
You're about to pass a slower driver in the right lane (rare) and do a check for the lane to your left. Nobody is there so you begin to move over.
Meanwhile, a fast moving car comes upon left lane congestion and moves to the right usually without a signal.
Because of the speed, suddenly this car is in the space you were moving into.
So, look two lanes over or more when changing lanes because the left most lane is no longer the "passing" lane. Like it or not.
I plan to die young, as late as possible.
