A new dad

I thought id just post in my excitement that as of 1/7/13 I became a father to my beautiful baby girl, Maven. She weighed 7lb 8oz and everything is checking out great except just a tiny bit of jaundice that were going in for checks on. Heres a picture of her and my wonderful wife the first day home from the hospital.

Well, my first biological yes. You may or may not remember my posts with my wife and i having a bit of cervical cancer scares...the doctor gave us the clear and its been a whirlwind since. I had a hunch it was a girl but kept my mouth shut( we didnt find out until birth) and so far shes an amazing kit of baby. I love my son just as much as he just turned seven but seeing your own flesh and blood coming into this world is an amazing feeling.

Give me two years and i might want to pull my hair out but until then, she a pink princess onesie with batman booties on.

And shes a daddys girl already...im screwed. Lol

Congrats man. My last was a girl and (at least to me) it's different having a boy and a girl. I love roughing up the two boys every chance I get. The girl however I would never. Good luck, you're going to need it.

Awesome! Nothing like a little girl to soften a daddy's heart, that's for sure. When I've had a crappy day at work, there's nothing like remembering I'll have my three little girls smiles and hugs when I get home.

And to be honest, for just having had a baby, your wife looks GREAT! My poor wife looked like Medusa. And she'd agree, she spent two weeks in the hospital before she could even take a real shower...

I think I can join this group as well. My daughter is 5 and acting older everyday. She still likes to curl up on the couch and watch a movie with me. Not looking forward to the teenage years. My gun collection is growing quickly.

Congrats Velo!! Might as well give her all your money now.

Thumbs up 5 months later...

As an update, here she is at 5 months old. Also, got a new baby hauler as well. My wife is only 5 feet tall( on a good day) so it was too tough and dangerous lifting her into the suv. I never was in love with the cadillac so it wasnt a hard decision. The mkz is awd with the 3.5 v6 and rides like a sofa. Not as big but perfect for our needs right now.

We have seen many of our children born while WT members and or watched them grow up and change.

If it's like me, I take many a funny or interesting thing from here and share with them. And I take the funny and interesting things from them and share with WT.

Cute kid Velo! I've got three little girls and wouldn't trade them for anything! Starting at 6 months up to 24 months has to be my favorite time with the little ones. Then they turn 4 and get sassy

Here they are doing the ol' olives on the finger trick...

Oh, and when they start getting older you get to do fun stuff like this:

Not to sound cheesy but I respect a lot of you folk here more than some people I see and talk to everyday. So thanks for that. And yes, AWD is a necessary addition in Fargo in my book. I don't like missing work because of snow. Not that I want to go in, but baby needs shoes and if the other people don't make it in, its quieter and I get more done anyway :-)

I may not have a lot to say but it doesn't mean I don't listen.

Cherish these days, as they go by quicker than a squid on a 'bussa. I have a 5 year old girl and a 14 month old boy and it seems like I never can spend enough time with them.
