Question White Smoke

Hey Twisters!

I recently bought my 919. She's an 02 with 31k. I replaced the battery today and she fired right up. After letting her run I noticed white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I also looked at the guage cluster and noticed the oil light was on.I shut her down. I let her sit a few minutes then attempted to fire her back up and she didn't turn over. Any suggestions on what is the issue?

Thanks for your help.

Dead battery? Idling doesn't charge the battery and chances are it drained. The white smoke is normal in winter months specially when idling from cold. Oil light is on when the engine isn't running but that's an easy check.
