I thought about changing my spark plugs when I do the block off plates. Which plugs are the top choice for the 919? Anybody......Anybody........

I've ran a couple of different NGK's (both heat and type)...seat of the pants tells me, go with your cheaper option but stay in the right heat range (e.g. read the plug.)

if you love your motorcycle, set it free.. if it comes back and hits you.. you highsided

I should probably change mine too. Is it inspect or change at 16000 in the manual?

The manual says replace at 8K. I replaced mine at 8K and they looked brand new. I switched to replacing at 16K to coincide with valve clearance checks, because its so much easier to get to #3 with the valve over off and everything out of the way.

I have tried the standard NGK's and the Iriduims and didn't notice any difference. I am gonna stick with the standards for my 48K change within the next month.

I got some NGK Iriduims sitting im my closet waiting to get changed in a thousand miles.. Is there any disadvantage to using them? A mechanic friend suggested to sticking to the stock type, but I already got these... Whats your thoughts?

They will be fine. I had these Iridiums on my bike from 8K to 32K miles. Could have gone much farther.

24,300 on my stockers and still running good. I'll swap them at the 32 valve check and swap the coolant too.
