What the !!!!

I was wiping my 919 down and for the first time (two years later) noticed a very long, very well done, weld bead on the right side of the swingarm. Is snapping a swingarm something that happens ever?

I'm pretty sure the swing arm would bend before it snaps. Soft metals tend to flex before they snap. Hardened steel can snap, alum / alloy doesn't really do that. I could be wrong if the alloy mix is different, but I don't think they would do that because of the danger.

It's probably a factory weld, where exactly is it?

Hey guys. I'm not too bright. Looking at the fitch on Ron Ayers, I can see the weld lines. They're factory. I coudn't see them on the chain side because of the guard. The weld looked to good to be hand welded, but there is a blob at the start that looked to sloppy for a machine weld.
