What do you do...

When you have a Honda 919 with no centerstand, you don't have a front wheel stand, and you don't have the money to buy either? You improvise in the most ghetto redneck fashion you can:

Made from scrap lumber that I had in the garage, 2 steel corner brackets, and a 4' long pipe clamp. Lifted the bike with 2 ratchet straps. Worked quite well, although I kept waiting for it to fall. I did put the axle back in the forks and then put jack stands underneath it to support it's weight while I had the tire off.

2003 Honda 919 - flapper mod, Clear Alternatives Smoke Tailight w/ integral turn signals, Stebel Nautilus air horn, DIY fender eliminator, LED license plate bolts, LED front turn signals, no resistor or new flasher so I blink like crazy.

Of course it did ... it lost a drag race to a 600.

It's better to have loved and lost than live with the psycho for life!

Good thinking! I sort of did the same thing way back when the niner was newer but I stuck lag bolts in the rafters and hoisted it up from there.

i used my front stand to lift the bike and then put cars stands under it to keep it up while I had the front wheel off and took the front stand out from under everything

I put mine on the center stand I bought from Phobman, then have someone lean on the rear (to lift the front) while I slide a cinder block with a piece of 1/4 plywood on top (cut to size) under the header. I figure it has no more than 50 pounds sitting on the headers since I can pick the front off the ground with one hand when on the center stand.

Talk about a Presidential Resolution!

That's actually kind of where I got the idea for this. But, like I said, money was tight and I didn't have that much black iron on hand to build with, just my pipe clamps and I only have 4 of those.
