Weird Vibration

I changed my tires and my chain/sprockets(oem) in one go, and now I get a weird vibration. It's not so much of a buzz as it feels like someone doing a drum-roll on my handlebars. I feel the vibration between 60-70 mph, but only in 5th or 6th gear. The frequency of the vibration changes between these two gears. I feel roughly 8 taps per second in 5th, and like 2-3 times that in 6th. I feel it on acceleration, deceleration, but not with the clutch pulled in. No vibration in any other gear at the same speed or rev range. I'm at a loss. Maybe someone can help me figure out what this is?

Check your chain tension, sounds like it might be too tight.

this is good...i think?

i went a little on the looser side since i'm going to a track this weekend, and last time i went they wanted it to be on the looser side.

I don't get why it's ONLY in 5/6th gear... if it was the chain, i figure i should feel it in any gear at the same speed, but I dont.

Good video - but IMO that looks to be too loose! What does it measure?

yeah i beat on it a bit since i put it on, it slacked up a bit. i'll take some slack out and re torque the rear axle, pretty sure its good though.

Don't torque it to oem spec, it's still too high. Torque it anywhere from 54-58 ft lbs depending on when you start to get drag and you'll be good to go.
